Madre figlio – N’tramenti 2022 – Cardinale (CZ)

Un giorno, camminando per Bologna, ho visto un uomo di mezza età che camminava mano nella mano con la madre (una signora anziana curva). Questa scena mi ha fatto immaginare che molti anni prima, probabilmente, era la madre a portare per mano il figlio e che il tempo li aveva allontanati per un pò e poi li aveva fatti ritrovare invertendone i ruoli. Con questo lavoro ho voluto fare una riflessione sul rapporto madre figlio e sulle varie fasi della vita ma anche sul “ritorno a casa”. In qualche modo la madre è il simbolo della casa, delle radici, del posto sicuro in cui rifugiarci quando abbiamo bisogno e anche se per un periodo si vive distaccati, il ritorno accade, è necessario…come l’addio che potrebbe essere un arrivederci…

Mother son – N’tramenti 2022 – Cardinale (CZ)

One day, walking around Bologna, I saw a middle-aged man walking hand in hand with his mother (a bent elderly lady). This scene made me imagine that many years before, it was probably the mother who was holding her son’s hand and that time had separated them for a while and then brought them back together by reversing their roles. With this work I wanted to reflect on the mother-son relationship and on the various phases of life but also on the “return home”. In some way the mother is the symbol of the home, of the roots, of the safe place in which to take refuge when we need it and even if for a period we live detached, the return happens, it is necessary… like the farewell which could be a Until we meet again…
